The choice of the anchor depends on two main criteria: the nature of the seabed to which we have to moor, and the length, weight of your boat.
If you have to anchor the boat on sandy bottoms (soft bottoms), you will choose a flat anchor that is much more effective than the other models. Conversely, if you want a high-performance rock bottom anchor, you can select "plowshare" anchors that are effective on soft bottoms but perform better on rocky bottoms. Hook anchors will be ineffective on soft bottoms, but they are intended exclusively for rocky bottoms.
We have the best brands, for example: Plastimo, Lewmar, UltraMarine, etc.
The wrong choice will be ineffective and may cause problems, or you risk getting stuck. That is why it is recommended to have different types of mooring anchors on board to suit different depths and cope with challenging conditions if necessary.
Rules for choosing your anchor for your boat dimensions:
- For a boat with a length of up to 4 m, the displacement of the ship will be 300 Kg. Therefore, you must choose an anchor with a minimum weight of 3.5 Kg equipped with a chain with a minimum diameter of 6 mm and a 6-8 mm diameter cable and fitted with an 8 mm diameter bow shackle.
- For a boat with a length of about 5.50 m, the boat's displacement will be 800 Kg. Therefore, you must choose an anchor with a minimum weight of 6 Kg equipped with a chain with a minimum diameter of 6 mm and a diameter of 10 mm. cable fitted with an 8 mm diameter bow shackle.
- For a boat with an approximate length of 6.50m, the boat's displacement will be 1000 Kg. Therefore, you must choose an anchor with a minimum weight of 8 Kg equipped with a chain with a minimum diameter of 6-7 mm and a 10 mm diameter cable fitted with an 8 mm diameter bow shackle.

- For a boat with a length of about 10.50 m, the boat's displacement will be 4500 Kg. Therefore, you must choose an anchor with a minimum weight of 14 Kg equipped with a chain with a minimum diameter of 8 mm and ' a 14 mm diameter cable fitted with a 10 mm diameter bow shackle.
